Capability Planner
Location: ACT, QLD, VIC
Security Clearance: TSPV
Contract Period: 12 months + 1 x extension

The Opportunity:
The Capability Planner will support a dynamic team delivering work of strategic importance to the Australian Government. The role will contribute across all elements of the team's work with a particular focus on the development of Cabinet submissions - work that directly influences future direction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the strategic writing of Government submission documentation. Undertake and/or provide advice on capability planning, project management and support, leading and managing activities to plan, develop and implement projects to meet organisational requirements.
Engage with programs and projects to develop, review, provide advice and/or report on cost models, influence direction; seeking input and feedback from stakeholders throughout the process.
Advise on and contribute to the formulation of budget strategies, procurement strategies, solution options, commercial approaches and tender evaluations; to support production of high quality estimates and the delivery of capability against business requirements.
Support team management as required, building the team's capability through mentoring, training and driving development of subject matter expertise.
Manage large stakeholder groups focused on business outcomes.
Take responsibility for and manage program and project financial management, change control and quality reporting. Identify portfolio and program financial risks and opportunities; and provide strategic advice regarding potential mitigations.
Provide advice and engagement across whole of government on major capability programs and project to achieve strategic outcomes.
Provide strategic advice and guidance to support organisational capability development, whilst maintaining up to date knowledge of capability development practices within the operating environment.
