The Opportunity:

Specialist expertise in Orbus iServer administration, Enterprise Architecture repository management, and secure ICT service delivery is required to sustain the Enterprise Architecture Repository and support  migration activities.

Candidates Must be and Australian Citizen and Must have a TSPV AGSVA Security Clearance.

Candidates must be willing to undergo ASD’s Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement. An OSA is an ASD policy requirement for contractors who will be engaged for a period in excess of 12 months and are conducted to determine a person’s suitability to work in ASD.  The OSA requires a psychological assessment, which involves a questionnaire and an interview. Before submitting an application for this role, the candidate should consider their preparedness for questions that may include the following topics: personal relationships, living circumstances, personal values, financial situation, physical and mental health history including substance use, and any civil and/or military record.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the team’s Solution Architect with expert ICT infrastructure and system integration advice to produce solution designs, systems views and architectures using logical models of components and interfaces

• Maintain knowledge and expertise within enterprise system offerings to ensure that solution designs are integrated, meet the business need, and are sustainable.

• Work collaboratively with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gain commitment to business objectives.

• Investigate business needs, problems and opportunities and contribute to business improvements.

• Lead the build and operational support of the system components, system boundaries, system performance, and security.

• Build and sustain relationships, liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders including other teams, peers and colleagues across Defence and other organisations.

• Orbus iServer (mandatory);

• Microsoft IIS (mandatory);

• Microsoft SQL Server (desirable);

• Microsoft PowerBI (desirable); and

• Microsoft Sharepoint (desirable).

Technical skills:

•Holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related fields.

•Strong understanding of network fundamentals, such as protocols, architectures, devices, topologies and standards.

•Ability to design and implement network solutions that meet the business and technical requirements of ASD.

•Basic knowledge and experience of network security.

•Proficient in network automation.
